“Journey to Umbra”
Adults-Only (17+)

"Magic is dying, and the Magus is dying with it. We travel together to the realm of Umbra where magic was born.

Fall of Magic is a game of collaborative storytelling where we play a group of travelers in the company of the Magus. The game follows a literary tradition of the fantasy journey where the character’s relationships, transformations, and experiences take center stage. We take turns telling a part of the story. During your turn, other players can contribute, add details, even play another character or themselves, but you get final say over what happens. Also, each player gets final say about what is true about their own character.

“Tournament of the Singing Sword”
Teen-friendly (13+)

Return with me to the days of high adventure! (1989, to be exact, when Greg Stafford anticipated many modern story-game design concepts by a decade or so, and created the Prince Valiant RPG set in the Arthurian world of Hal Foster's classic comic strip.)

Prince Arn of Ord has decreed a tournament of valor! To the victor goes the famous Singing Sword, said to ring aloud in the hands of a just and true-hearted warrior. But black knights in service to the ruthless Baron Duncan Draconarius have sworn to seize the prize by fair means or foul — can heroic knights and ladies prevent such wickedness? And what use would a blackguard like Baron Draconarius have for a blade forged from the same steel as Excalibur itself?

"Generations ago four infant minotaurs, a lost species, were pulled from the mud of the eternal river. Over centuries they develop a cultural philosophy to help them live among men: be contemplative, do not want, do not express your emotions, for breaking Silence in such a way is an expression of need. Be courageous. Act with wisdom. Work for justice. Do not use the names of women.

"We employ them for menial and dangerous work. Pulling plows. Guarding wealthy estates. And for brutal entertainments."

The Clay That Woke is a game about playing minotaurs in a fallen civilization and coming to understand what it means to be great. You are a member of the under-class in a violent, mysterious world surrounded by impenetrable jungle and filled with things no one understands because the only thing that remains is tradition. Help forge civilization's future.

Although this is a game intended for campaign play, with your help, we can tell a rewarding and powerful story together in one session. If interest is high enough, we might even be able to organize a few follow-up sessions. But let's take it one step at a time.
