Living Forgotten Realms Mustering Policies:

GAME START TIMES:

  • Games are normally scheduled to start at 7pm on Tuesdays and at 8pm on Fridays.
  • However, with approval of the coordinator for that evening, some games will start later.
  • SIGNING UP FOR GAMES:

  • Please feel free to sign up for games using this website.
  • New Players: Registration is required before you can sign up for games via Warhorn. Registering is free, however, and very easy.
  • You can use Warhorn to sign up for games up to two hours until the game's start time. For games that begin at 7pm, for example, please feel free to sign up on Warhorn until 5pm. For games that start later, however, the normally scheduled start times are in effect for the purposes of using Warhorn to sign up. For example, if a game normally scheduled to begin at 7pm will start at 8pm, please use Warhorn to sign up for that game until 5pm, not 6pm. The normally-scheduled start time applies in this circumstance.
  • Within two hours of the game start time, if you would like to add your name to the list of players or judges, please arrive at Game Kastle. The coordinator for that evening will begin adding names to the list once that coordinator has arrived at Game Kastle.
  • BEING ON THE WAITLIST:

  • Oftentimes, scheduled games on Warhorn will fill up and exceed the six-player table limit. Additional players (and judges) will be waitlisted when they exceed the preset limit on Warhorn.
  • FOR PLAYERS DROPPING OUT OF GAMES:

  • Please use Warhorn to de-list yourself from games you have previously signed up for, but no longer plan on attending. This policy applies to players who are signed up, regardless of whether a player is waitlisted or if judge(s) are signed up, too.
  • In addition, if you are signed up for a game and, on the same day of the game, if you want to de-list yourself from that game on the same day, then please first use Warhorn to de-list yourself from that game, and then please take an additional step: notify the coordinator for that evening of a same-day cancellation.

FOR PLAYERS NOTIFYING A COORDINATOR OF A SAME-DAY CANCELLATION:

  • If you will be notifying the coordinator for that evening that you have de-listed yourself from a game that same evening, then please contact that coordinator after you have de-listed yourself on this Warhorn website. Then to contact that coordinator, please follow either STEP A or Step B, depending on the time of day.
  • STEP A: In this circumstance, if you will be de-listing on the gameday at least two hours prior to the normally-scheduled game start time, then please also email the coordinator for that evening, informing that coordinator that you will not be attending that evening. Coordinator email information is available above in the TO EMAIL A COORDINATOR section of this web page.
  • STEP B: If instead you will be contacting that coordinator when there are less than two hours before the normally-scheduled game start time, then please call Game Kastle at (408) 727-2452 and inform a Game Kastle staff member or that coordinator that you will not be attending that evening.
  • These steps provide the coordinator for that evening with information needed to muster other players and judges more effectively.
  • Emergencies come up, and sometimes people will be unable to notify a coordinator of a same-day cancellation in a timely manner. In this type of situation, please inform the coordinator of these circumstances within one week at your earliest convenience.
  • BEING 10 MINUTES LATE IS OKAY:

  • These games often occur when there is a lot of traffic. If you need to be up to 10 minutes late from the game start time, that is fine. Your spot will remain reserved for you.
  • Being 10 minutes late is fine both for games that will start with their normal start time and for games that will start later, as mentioned in the GAME START TIMES section.
  • IF A PARTICIPANT WILL BE MORE THAN 10 MINUTES LATE:

  • Please provide notification in advance, by emailing the coordinator for that evening at least two hours before the normally-scheduled game start time or by calling Game Kastle at (408) 727-2452 when there are less than two hours before the normally-scheduled game start time, and inform a Game Kastle staff member or that coordinator that you will be late. Also, please include your estimated arrival time.
  • If there is a waitlist, even if pre-mustered player(s) have provided proper notification that they will be more than 10 minutes late, then slot(s) will open up to waitlisted player(s) 11 minutes past the originally-scheduled game start time on Warhorn's specific event listing, even if the game actually starts later.
  • After waitlisted player(s), if any, have joined the game, if there is still room at a game for player(s) who arrive late, then it will be up to the individual DM to decide whether player(s) who arrive late can join in that game. Some adventures are easier than others to work in PCs arriving later, and for several adventures (for example, the H-2 SPEC 1-3 module), it's impossible without very powerful magic. Even if the DM allows player(s) who arrive late to join a game, their PC's experience, treasure bundle, and story award(s) might be altered according to which parts of the module were missed, per that table's DM's decision.
  • NO-SHOWS AND BEING MORE THAN 10 MINUTES LATE WITHOUT NOTIFICATION:

  • If, in a non-emergency situation, a participant is a no-show or more than 10 minutes late without proper notification (as mentioned elsewhere on this web page), then that person's use of this Warhorn site may be prohibited for one month. However, if there is an emergency, then please contact the coordinator for that evening within one week to inform that coordinator of the situation.
  • This policy is in effect to discourage participants from repeatedly signing up for games, but not showing up to a majority or all of them.
  • IF YOU ARE SIGNED UP TO JUDGE AND WANT TO DE-LIST YOURSELF FROM JUDGING:

  • If there are eight or more days remaining before you are signed up to judge, and if you want to de-list yourself from judging, then please just use Warhorn to de-list yourself from judging that game.
  • If there are seven or less days remaining before you are signed up to judge, and if you want to de-list yourself from judging, then please use Warhorn to de-list yourself from judging that game and also email the coordinator for that evening as soon as possible, in order to provide additional notice and an extended opportunity for another person to sign up to judge that evening.
  • If there are less than two hours before the scheduled game start time, and if you want to de-list yourself from judging, then please use Warhorn to de-list yourself from judging that game, email the coordinator for that evening, and also call Game Kastle and inform a staff member or that coordinator that you will not be judging that evening, in order to ensure proper notification.
  • Please do not de-list yourself from judging on the same day as the game itself, as that would inconvenience many players, unless it is an emergency.
  • $2 PER PLAYER ENTRANCE FEE:

  • As mentioned above on this web page, there is a $2 entrance fee per player. Please pay this fee prior to the start of the game.
  • The coordinator for that evening may or may not remind players of the need to pay this fee.
  • If the coordinator for that evening has reminded players of the need to pay this fee, and if a player does not pay this fee and plays in a Warhorn-scheduled RPGA game at Game Kastle that evening, then that person's use of this Warhorn site may be prohibited until that debt is paid and confirmed to be paid to any of the Game Kastle RPGA coordinators by a Game Kastle staff member. A person should keep their receipt, in this type of situation, in order to ensure that their past-due entrance fee payment can be verified by Game Kastle.
  • REMEMBER THE (other) GOLDEN RULE:

  • Do unto others as you would have them do unto you. Let's have fun, enjoy these games, and work together to create a great environment for gaming!
  • We look forward to gaming with you.
